The liqueur 44 from Domaine de la Flaguerie is the result of the maceration of orange, sugar, coffee bean and cloves in a cider brandy. Tradition has it that the orange is pricked with 44 coffee beans and that the mixture contains the equivalent of 44 sugar cubes, all macerated in brandy for 44 days.
